The Model HCP-3 Hardwood Cuttings Planter is a three-row production nursery planter for any species of hardwood cuttings up to 3/4 inch diameter. The planter is designed to plant hardwood cuttings in a prepared soil bed. The cuttings are later lifted as a seedling at the end of the growing season. Production rates for the planter can be as high as 80,000 cuttings per day with only 4 to 5 personnel. Labor savings are substantial resulting in a return on investment period of 2 years or less, depending on nursery production. |
